Carly Watson, Director of Debate, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Michigan State University. As a student at MSU, she won the 2010 National Debate Tournament. Winner of the 2020 American Debate Association Excellence in Coaching Award, Carly coached teams to the semifinals of the NDT with MSU. Carly previously worked as an assistant debate coach at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington where she coached a top ten team to the octofinals of the NDT. Prior to being named the Director of Debate, Carly served for nearly ten years at the Debate Team Project and Events Coordinator.
