Honors College admissions team welcomes Jess Brandt

The Honors College is kicking off another successful admissions season with new Assistant Director of Admissions Jess Brandt. To get to know Jess, we asked her a few questions about her journey to the Honors College.

What are your past experiences that led you to the Honors College?

Before joining the Honors College, I helped students navigate their career endeavors as a career advisor here at MSU. Prior to that role I was a technical recruiter, and before that role I had been a domestic and international admissions counselor.

Tell us about why you wanted to be Assistant Director of Admissions?

Having worked in admissions previously, I know this role will allow me to connect with students and families and share the amazing things one can do while at MSU and after. I was an Honors College student at MSU, and the support and flexibility that was provided allowed me to pursue many interests and opportunities as an undergraduate student.

What are you most excited about in your new role?

Getting to know about the areas of study that students are interested in and sharing the many opportunities offered at MSU, from studying abroad, working on campus, pursuing internships, doing research, and so much more!

Any fun facts?

While at MSU, I went on three study abroad trips and one study away with Disney! I love crime podcasts, I dog-sit and cat-sit, and I enjoy organizing.
