As enrollment for the Spring 2024 semester approaches, there is no better time to welcome the newest member of the Honors College advising team, LaDonna Croffe. Here is a short Q&A for our community to get to know her.

What are your past experiences that led you to the Honors College?

I served as an Academic Specialist in the College of Arts & Letters and the College of Communication Arts and Sciences. Before joining the MSU community, initially in 2017, I was an Advisor at the University of Texas, Arlington.

Tell us about why you wanted to be an academic advisor and a bit about your advising philosophy.

I chose this path because I believe in people and what we can accomplish when we are intentional in our efforts. The college years are a great time to discover and further define who we are and what we want to bring to the world.  I like the idea of being part of that process in a student’s life.

What are you most excited about in your new role?

I’m most excited about getting to know the students and helping them reach their goals while being part of the great team in HC.

Any fun facts?

I sometimes pretend that I’m in a musical when walking across campus! Also, my favorite color is green, so I’m destined to be here.
