Invited Student Programs

The admissions staff offers a variety of in-person and virtual programs for invited students to learn about the Honors College, meet current Honors students, and get questions answered.

Upcoming events are listed below. All times are within the Eastern Time (ET) zone. For specific event questions, please e-mail honors@msu.edu.

In-Person Events for Invited Students

Join an upcoming invited student program on campus to learn about the exciting opportunities available to Honors College students at Michigan State University!

We will discuss next steps for invited students and benefits of Honors College membership, such as additional academic flexibility, research, and scholarship opportunities. Capacity is limited for each event, and registration is required in advance.

Honors Exploration 2026

This is a great opportunity to hear from Honors staff and current students about the myriad of opportunities the Honors College provides. Click the date that works best for you to register.

Each event will cover the same core content with the following format:

  • 4 p.m. – Check-in and registration
  • 4-4:45 p.m. – Optional tours of Campbell Hall, the Honors College’s newly renovated living-learning community
  • 4:15-4:45 p.m. – Resource fair
  • 5-6 p.m. – Honors College presentation
  • 6-7 p.m. – Optional dinner

The Honors College will provide meal tickets to prospective students who wish to attend the optional dinner. Family/supporters may purchase a meal ticket at the dining hall register.

Virtual Spring Programs for Invited Students

International Student Webchats

Join virtually to meet other prospective international students considering MSU and the Honors College. This informal webchat will include current international Honors students, staff, and representation from the MSU Office of Admissions to answer any questions.

Invited Student Webinar

Attend this virtual event to learn more about the exciting opportunities that await through the Honors College. A brief presentation will outline the program, followed by a live Q&A with current Honors students.

HC IMPACT Webinar

Attend this virtual webinar event to learn more about the HC IMPACT Week of Service, an Honors College program for incoming students to connect with each other and the local community.

Honors staff and former IMPACT participants will describe the program in more detail, including how to apply to the fall cohort. A live Q&A will follow.
